I am NOT afraid

This is my first layout done for a blog called Gutter Girlz. Right up my alley!! Any time I can swear, be perverse, be unfiltered (basically be myself) is fine by me.

This lay out is about not being afraid, in honor of breast cancer awareness month. My's fears and problems are nothing compared to what some women are facing. Breast cancer is every women's fear, every women's nightmare and every women's problem. Let's ban together to eradicate this horrible disease and give our daughters, granddaughters, nieces, sisters, aunts and mothers a life without that fear. Click here if you want to donate to help put second base in the gutter
That being said here is my layout, My husband is a firefighter/paramedic. He has been in this profession for more years than I can count and loves every second of it. These pictures were taken at a local fire by the departments photographer. They scare me to death.

Journaling:
I am often asked how I feel about your job. I always tell people that it doesn’t bother me, but the truth is I have to block it out and convince myself to not be afraid.

Thanks for looking.

Yabba dabba do

My nephew loves this car! The bright colors the mobility, everything a little boy dreams of! The pictures tell the story. He saw the car and was drawn to it. He got in and never got out.
This was created using a layout by Mrs O at Scrapjazz I combined some "old" stash and some new stash. http://www.scrapjazz.com/galleries/38106/view/476446/-1/20/1.html

Moostash Girl

Here is my beautiful Julia making fun of my husband again with a twizzler. We loved how she always said moostash instead of mustache! So cute! I hope she'll never need to tease him again!(I hated that thing!) This lo was from a new scrap blog called Inspired Blueprints: http://www.inspiredblueprints.typepad.com/ I love the design team and I'm looking foward to seeing all the goodies that are bound to come out of them!

About the lo:
  • KI memories sheer paper(yummy)
  • Thicker vinyl shape stickers in yellow
  • Thicker foam letters
  • Cosmo Cricket - Fleuriste Collection
  • Luxe design blue polka dot paper
  • Bazzill scollop trim
Thanks

IF you wer still here

A lo I created for OLW blog. This is a picture of me, my brother and my grandfather. I have always thought of him as my guardian angel. He died when I was in fifth grade. I credit him with all of the good things that have happened to me in my life, because if he hadn't died my life would have been completely different. Everything I have he "gave" to me and words can not express how very grateful I am.

Totally TUBE-ular DUDE!

I tried a new scrap website called Scrapping Out Loud : http://scrappingoutloud.blogspot.com/ I really liked their latest challenge so I thought I would give it a shot. This especially spoke to me because of the circles. I really am a sucker for circles. My computer is down and my scanner is hooked up to my computer so I had to take a picture of my layout with my old camera, which is obviously not very good. BUT....here is my LO:

2 new lo's

This happens to be my most favorite picture of my three children. I love how the are all looking at something and positioned in a way that I could never get them to do on purpose. As a matter of fact having them next to each other with out arguing is a feat in itself!! They each picked out their favorite pumpkin and we the rolled down the hill! It was truly one of those moments you want to remember when they get older.
In this lo my dad is showing Jack the horses...well butts! He gives me such a hard time, but he really tries hard to be a great grandpa, and if I wasn't the mama I would think he succeeded!
