IF you wer still here

A lo I created for OLW blog. This is a picture of me, my brother and my grandfather. I have always thought of him as my guardian angel. He died when I was in fifth grade. I credit him with all of the good things that have happened to me in my life, because if he hadn't died my life would have been completely different. Everything I have he "gave" to me and words can not express how very grateful I am.

Anniversry, well kinda

You know when you have been dating a long time you consider the first date or the day you met your "anniversary" Well, Joe and I remembered that day yesturday. Of course our wedding day is our official anniversary, but we couldn't help but acknowledge it with a kiss. We've been together for 18 years, and by that I mean we have been in a monogomous relationship with each other for 18 years. A long time for the average person, but especially long for a 33/37 year old man or woman! Over half my life and now half of his too.

I love him more today than yesturday and I'll love him more tomorrow.
What is even better is that I LIKE him too! You can't beat that!

todays funny

We had a outside fire in the pit tonight and we were telling stories.
This is Julia's:
"There was a beatle and he went to the river and then there was a water beatle. The water beatle said: 'Hi would you be my girlfriend and the beatle said 'NO I'm not a girl!'"

At dinner tonight:
Jaclyn:"I don't like fish...I like noodles and...broccoli"
me:(laughing) "broccoli?"
Jaclyn:"yep, I like broccoli"
me:"o.k."

funny things

some funny things I don't want to forget

Conversation:(2 years old)
Me:"Jaclyn you crack me up"
Jaclyn: "Like an egg?"
Me: "yes Jackie, like an egg"

Julia "swimming" in the pool(not really, but trying REALLY hard)(5 years old)
She says"wow can you believe I can swim without my swim suit?" Realizing what she says she cracks up and says "I mean swim jacket"

Just sweet
Julia" I love so so so so so so so so much. I just want to love you soosososososos much."(arms around my neck and climbing on my lap)

I know there's more, but I need to remember them all first.

Totally TUBE-ular DUDE!

I tried a new scrap website called Scrapping Out Loud : http://scrappingoutloud.blogspot.com/ I really liked their latest challenge so I thought I would give it a shot. This especially spoke to me because of the circles. I really am a sucker for circles. My computer is down and my scanner is hooked up to my computer so I had to take a picture of my layout with my old camera, which is obviously not very good. BUT....here is my LO:

Happy birthday my sweet girl

I can't believe how fast you are growing up. You are such a bright light in this crazy world, I can't wait to see what your energy will do to this planet. I know you have certainly changed my life forever. I hope you keep your wild and strong spirit, for as much as it can drive me crazy I know it will only make you a strong, independent woman. No matter what life brings you I hope you always look at it like you look at it now. "I want what I want when I want it and NO ONE is going to get in my way...NO ONE!!" This can be difficult for me to manage, but in the end I know it will serve you well.
The funny thing is that as strong as you are, you still have a warm tender cuddly side to you too. The side that cuddles when you wake up, cries if mommy doesn't put you to sleep and wakes up in the middle of the night scared from a thunder storm outside. The sweet girl that holds my cheeks with both hands and offers a toy to a crying friend. I love that you can be both strong and sensitive. You are a gift from God and I will be forever grateful that he gave you to me.

I love you my sweet baby, Happy Birthday.
Mommy

"hello head...

can you come out of my ass I need you now", is all I can say about today. I could not get it together and I am having guest for my daughters b-day tomorrow. Needless to say I will be a crazy psycho tomorrow finishing all the things I should have done today. CRAP!

getting to know your camera 101

I recently purchased my dream camera and I've been playing around with it. I 've gotten pretty good at the standard functions of the painfully complicated thing but I've found I am still limited in the details of it. My favorite craft store http://www.craftfancy.com/ is having a phtography 1 class which is basically getting to know your camera 101. I'm a little advanced for this class, but I want to make sure I take it in preparation for the photo 2 class which is the one I really want to take in 2 weeks. I'm not sure what to expect, but for $15 bucks I get 2 hours af me time and a good excuse to go shopping. A win win situation if you ask me.

Misc. blah blah blah

Summer is flying. I can't believe "camp"(really summer school) is over this week! I am looking forward to it though. I am ready to sleep in and be spontaneous. Life is just too short to not slow down and smell the roses. I'm tired of being a school slave. Drive here, drive there, drop off go back. DONE!!!! Summer is halfway over and I need a break!! My kids do too!! I want to slather on the sunscreen, and jump in the (probably) ice cold pool. ooooo....sounds so good to me right now. By the way, I really don't like water, but the idea of a relaxing break sounds so good I'm salivating!! I just want the kids to have fun. Like when I was a kid, we were out at day break and home after dark! You can't do all that I did then, but a little taste is better than nothing.

The house is almost done, just some minor things, except for the garage door! This house will never look finished until that stupid horse and green and white checkered door is history! My husband is determined to take off the horse and put it on the new door. I will NOT let that happen, but I may let him cut it out, frame it and hang it somewhere. It is almost the family crest now, a member of our family. To just throw it away doesn't seem right. So it will stay, just not sure how to display it.

Just a little BLAH BLAH for now.
