I offered to make some cards for my Grandma's senior center raffle. I loved making them although I had a little inspirational help from some cards in a couple of magazines( I'll let you know which ones as we go along)

I inked the front to give the embossed swirls a little more depth. Oh and I love how the colors pop on the black card. The 3 ribbons in red seriously striking in person! And the tiny little bit of black ribbon ties it all together.

The next card was inspired by a card in Paper Crafts magazine March 08 issue. I loved the cut out bird with the ribbon wings and the little flowers (I made mine out of sticker flowers and black buttons)

This one is my own. I love the dry embossed paper. I used the machine called my aching hand because I have no machines. Totally worth it though 'cause I love that look.

I think everything looks good on black...you'll see a pattern here.
This is my favorite paper!! I love the bright poppies in orangy-red.mmmm...mmmm delicious! By the way I do almost everything in odds. I think it's just part of my genetic make-up. If it's not odd it's doesn't look right to me. Crazy, I know.
This card was inspired by a picture frame in Scrapbook Etc. May/June 08. I loved the letter stickers and the shot of color draws you eye to the message. The color on this photo is not as true to life as I wanted, but you get the drift.
I loved this card that Nora created a scrapjazz.com, so I copied it. How beautiful is the black and white with the shot of color? All of the edges are inked and a little glaze pen is on the stamped message. Really elegant in person.
Thanks so much looking.
Jen
