I have not had my picture taken on my birthday since my sweet sixteen! NO KIDDING!! This year I had a couple of them taken !! One is from my grandma's house the day before my birthday and it counts 'cause there's a cake!! The other is on my birthday. That's when my children decided I was 4 years old. woohoo!! Add 3 decades but I'll take it!

I just might have to scrap these!!

Yeah I'm a diva princess!!

I decided that I am no longer having my pictures taken by someone else when I can take my own for free. I am going to put it out there that my family is hot!! Each of these beautiful babies have their own personality and each picture reflects that. I look at these daily and fall in love deeper and deeper.

The poser

The reluctant subject.(by the way this is the only good picture of him) The crazy clan
The mover and shaker. (never once stood still, most of thes are blury. )

LOVE LOVE LOVE these kids!!
Thanks
Jen
p.s.
I started water marking them because you never know who's looking at these and why so I put my name on them, like a dog I'm pissing on them. They're mine don't touch! Without written permission from me.

Grateful today for...

Gas...lots and lots of gas. I mean the stuff you put in the car. Because I drove all over today!!! I was home for about 10 minutes total today!! So thank God for Gas.

By the way if you don't know what it is http://www.sinucleanse.com/ check it out! If my 5 year old can do it so can you!!!!

Grateful #6

A beautiful fall day (80 degrees) to go out and take some fall photos! Thank you GOD!!

I am NOT afraid

This is my first layout done for a blog called Gutter Girlz. Right up my alley!! Any time I can swear, be perverse, be unfiltered (basically be myself) is fine by me.

This lay out is about not being afraid, in honor of breast cancer awareness month. My's fears and problems are nothing compared to what some women are facing. Breast cancer is every women's fear, every women's nightmare and every women's problem. Let's ban together to eradicate this horrible disease and give our daughters, granddaughters, nieces, sisters, aunts and mothers a life without that fear. Click here if you want to donate to help put second base in the gutter
That being said here is my layout, My husband is a firefighter/paramedic. He has been in this profession for more years than I can count and loves every second of it. These pictures were taken at a local fire by the departments photographer. They scare me to death.

Journaling:
I am often asked how I feel about your job. I always tell people that it doesn’t bother me, but the truth is I have to block it out and convince myself to not be afraid.

Thanks for looking.

Yabba dabba do

My nephew loves this car! The bright colors the mobility, everything a little boy dreams of! The pictures tell the story. He saw the car and was drawn to it. He got in and never got out.
This was created using a layout by Mrs O at Scrapjazz I combined some "old" stash and some new stash. http://www.scrapjazz.com/galleries/38106/view/476446/-1/20/1.html

Cards for Granny

I offered to make some cards for my Grandma's senior center raffle. I loved making them although I had a little inspirational help from some cards in a couple of magazines( I'll let you know which ones as we go along)

This one is my own. I love the dry embossed paper. I used the machine called my aching hand because I have no machines. Totally worth it though 'cause I love that look.

I inked the front to give the embossed swirls a little more depth. Oh and I love how the colors pop on the black card. The 3 ribbons in red seriously striking in person! And the tiny little bit of black ribbon ties it all together.

I think everything looks good on black...you'll see a pattern here.

This is my favorite paper!! I love the bright poppies in orangy-red.mmmm...mmmm delicious! By the way I do almost everything in odds. I think it's just part of my genetic make-up. If it's not odd it's doesn't look right to me. Crazy, I know.

The next card was inspired by a card in Paper Crafts magazine March 08 issue. I loved the cut out bird with the ribbon wings and the little flowers (I made mine out of sticker flowers and black buttons)

This card was inspired by a picture frame in Scrapbook Etc. May/June 08. I loved the letter stickers and the shot of color draws you eye to the message. The color on this photo is not as true to life as I wanted, but you get the drift.

I loved this card that Nora created a scrapjazz.com, so I copied it. How beautiful is the black and white with the shot of color? All of the edges are inked and a little glaze pen is on the stamped message. Really elegant in person.

Thanks so much looking.
